This past weekend I headed out for a lovely afternoon at the Phoenix Flea Market in Heritage Square in Downtown Phoenix. With the holidays around the corner, it was a perfect homegrown option for holiday shopping, filled with local artists and vendors. The flea market might be over, but you can still shop local for the holidays. Visit some of my favorite vendors online to find that something special for everyone on your list.

Citizen Home Decor
Scott Goodson started Citizen Home Décor in 2013 as a place to sell his handmade wooden designs. Goodson focuses on State Love, so you can find everything from Arizona shaped ornaments to coasters. These fun items are great gifts for friends and family who have moved away and miss this great state.

Lifetime Leather Co.
Inspired by an inherited leather-crafting kit and an abandoned couch in an alley, Ty Bowman began Lifetime Leather Co. and has grown it into a thriving local business. With everything from leather ”lunch sacks” to razor bags to tool rolls, Lifetime Leather has created gifts that are sure to NOT be re-gifted or unused. My personal favorites were a buttery smooth briefcase-style satchel and a quaint tie case.

Lovely People
Owned by native Arizonan Kristin Van Leuven, Lovely People offers great gifts for the art lover in your life. The watercolor works are gorgeous, bright and clean. I really loved her flower-themed works of art. Kristin can do custom work and also sells prints of her work.

Keri Mosier is the creative force behind the stunning yet delicate charms and jewelry at mer*made jewelry. Using sterling silver, 14k gold fill and earthy stones, mer*made jewelry is one-of-a-kind and perfect for the fashion maven on your list. Together Farms
A real working farm in Maricopa, south of Chandler, Together Farms hand milks their goats to create a line of natural body and skincare products. I really loved all the different luxuriously scented soaps, especially the refreshing Peppermint Rosemary. These items are perfect for those with sensitive skin, because all of the Together Farms soaps and balms are free of paraben, formaldehyde releasers, synthetic colors, soy, palm oils and other unnecessary chemicals.

Baby Teith
Have a future rock and roll star on your holiday shopping list? I do. With cool, funky, out of this world prints in children’s sizes, Baby Teith is sure to get you all the cool points. I particularly love the galaxy print leggings and my own little star has recently added the hologram skater dress to her must haves list. Owners Tiffe (“Best Fashion Designer” By New Times Best of Phoenix) and Keith (a musician from Dublin, Ireland) started designing for children when their family expanded. Baby Teith is proud that all their garments are produced and printed right here in Phoenix.
